Operation of a publicly funded fibre network in Walddorfhäslach, Germany

The municipality of Walddorfhäslach wants a operator for its passive fibre-to-the-building network, which is being built under an operator model. The operator would run the passive network, install and run the active equipment, serve end customers, provide open network access, and handle maintenance and documentation. Access is granted in return for a lease. The work is split into two lots: Lot 1 covers 234 address points under the white-spot funding scheme, and Lot 2 covers 1,035 address points under the grey-spot scheme. Bids are assessed on the lease amount alone.
